Fall Cross Country

2024 Season:

September 9 - November 1, 2024

  • Distance: Mondays and Fridays
  • Distance Plus: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Cross Country is the fall season for the Flyers Track Club.  Athletes will learn the fundamentals of distance running and techniques unique to off-track running.  More experienced athletes will build on the fundamental skills through conditioning and in-depth training.  All athletes are offered the option of participating in one of the scheduled meets.  Athletes in the Distance Plus Group are encouraged to attend the scheduled meets and compete in the USATF Junior Olympic Meet.  More than 250 Flyers participated last fall with qualifiers for the USATF state, regional, and national championship meets.

Basic Information:

Distance @ 4:45-5:45pm geared for ages 7-10 

Distance BLUE @ 6:00-7:00pm geared for ages 9-12

Distance WHITE @ 6:00 -7:00pm geared for ages 11-15 

Distance PLUS @ 6:00-7:00pm, Mondays and Fridays and 5:30-7:00pm on Wednesdays  geared for ages 11-15 (with coach’s recommendation)

Registration and Fees:

Fees are: $180 Full (Family) Members, $205 Program (Basic) Members, $235 Non-Members. 

Distance Plus fees: $210 Full (Family) Members, $235 Program (Basic) Members, $260 Non-Members.

Detailed Information for ​Parents:

There will be a meeting for parents of athletes will be conducted via zoom on 6th at 6:30pm. It is strongly encouraged that parents attend this meeting for important season information. We will cover practices, uniforms, meets, and much more. Zoom links will be sent out earlier that week.
