Successful Start to a Cold Spring Season for Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club

On April 15, in bitter cold temperatures, the Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club competed in their first meet of the season, the Youth Challenge Series Season Opener at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island in New York.  Despite the cold, the team came away with ten first place finishes and two team records.

On April 29, the Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club traveled to Hackensack to compete in a New Jersey Striders meet. It was an exciting day with four first place finishes and four team records:

The Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club is a USATF-certified club that serves over 700 athletes throughout the year. The Club has cross country, winter conditioning, and spring and summer track & field programs in Westfield and Cranford.
