The Westfield Area Y Flyers Compete at Two Meets

Flyers siblings Paul, Justin, and Elizabeth Koizumi display their new gold medals
The Flyers Track Club competed on May 7 at the New Jersey Striders meet in Fairlawn and on May 21 at the Hunterdon Lion’s Skylands meet. At the Striders meet the Flyers recorded 24 top three finishes and at the Hunterdon meet they recorded 30 top three finishes.
Below is a listing of all the athletes who finished first in their division:
Girls Ages 9-10 Division
Madeline Bonn – Turbo Javelin (Hunterdon)
Mychaela Fields - 200m dash, 400m dash and long jump (Hunterdon)
Alexis Ray – 100m dash (Hunterdon)
Dalila Scouloukas – high jump (Striders)
Girls Ages 11-12 Division
Alexandra Bonn –long jump and high jump (Hunterdon) 80m hurdles (Striders and Hunterdon)
Elizabeth Koizumi – 1500m race walk (Hunterdon)
Girls Ages 15-16 Division
Caroline Collins – 3000m run (Striders)
Boys Ages 8 and Under Division
Reean Dias – 1500m run (Striders)
Boys Ages 11-12 Division
Gabe Jackson – turbo javelin (Hunterdon and Striders)
Justin Koizumi – shot put (Hunterdon)
Eamon Mason, David Sanchez, Andrew Vilarin and Orlando Guzman 4x400m relay (Hunterdon)
Eamon Mason – 1500m run and 3000m run (Striders)
Damian Scouloukas –long jump (Hunterdon) 80m hurdles (Hunterdon and Striders)
Boys Ages 13-15 Division
Paul Koizumi – 1500m race walk (Hunterdon)
William McGlynn – 1500m run and 3000m run (Striders)
Barney Veres – 200m dash (Hunterdon) and 100m hurdles (Striders)
The Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club is a USATF certified club that serves over 700 athletes throughout the year.
